Coventry is the West Midlands' fourth-largest city - around 345,000 in the city, inside a Coventry and Warwickshire region of roughly 900,000. The regional economy runs on automotive and aerospace engineering (Jaguar Land Rover Whitley and Ryton historic, Aston Martin at Gaydon, London EV Company at Ansty, Geely UK; Meggitt and Lockheed Martin at Ansty Park), rail (Alstom at Litchurch Lane Derby-adjacent), two universities (University of Warwick and Coventry University - with WMG at Warwick a major automotive R&D centre), and logistics along the M6 / M42 / M69 / M40 corridor. Severe injuries across Coventry, Warwickshire and parts of the wider West Midlands route through UHCW - a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre since March 2012.
