Leicester is the East Midlands' second major city - around 360,000 in the city, within a Leicester / Leicestershire area of roughly 1.1 million. The local economy runs on food manufacturing (Samworth Brothers, Walkers Crisps at Beaumont Leys), textile and garment production (a sector that has drawn HSE and NMW enforcement focus in recent years), logistics along the M1 / A46 / A5 / M69 corridor, two universities (University of Leicester and De Montfort University), and a substantial NHS footprint. Leicester Royal Infirmary is one of the East Midlands' largest hospital sites, but - importantly - it is a Trauma Unit within the East Midlands Major Trauma Network. The designated Major Trauma Centre for the region is QMC in Nottingham. Severely-injured Leicester patients are, in most cases, stabilised at LRI and transferred to QMC for definitive trauma care.
Casibus connects injured people across Leicester and Leicestershire with regulated personal injury specialists. Every case runs on a no win, no fee basis.

The types of Leicester / Leicestershire personal injury claim we handle
Road traffic accidents across Leicester
M1 from J20 (Lutterworth) through J21A (M69 junction) to J23 (Loughborough), A46 Leicester Western Bypass, A50, A563 ring-road, A6. Heavy HGV traffic on the M1 / M69 spine, university cycle traffic, and city-centre bus-lane conflicts. RTA coverage across car accident claims, cycle accident claims, motorcycle accident claims, pedestrian accident claims, and whiplash claims.
Buses - Arriva Midlands and First Leicester
Arriva Midlands and First Leicester run the bus network. Leicester has no tram or light rail. Passenger claims against operators follow the common-carrier duty - see bus and coach accident claims.
Textile, garment and fast-fashion manufacturing
Leicester's textile / garment sector drew national attention following HSE, NMW and modern-slavery enforcement operations (including the widely-reported investigations around fast-fashion supply chains). Work-accident claims arise from machine guarding failures (PUWER 1998), manual handling (MHOR 1992), heat stress, and chemical exposure (COSHH 2002) - including occupational dermatitis. Where a worker is engaged under irregular arrangements, liability analysis still runs through the principal's duties as occupier and (usually) de facto employer. See factory accident claims and dermatitis.
Food manufacturing
Samworth Brothers, Walkers, Pukka Pies and others run significant Leicestershire operations. Typical claims: slips on wet floors, manual handling injuries, cuts, refrigeration incidents, and occupational asthma. See factory accident claims.
Magna Park logistics and warehousing
Magna Park at Lutterworth is one of Europe's largest distribution parks - DHL, Kuehne+Nagel, Toyota parts, Eddie Stobart. Warehouse claims across MHE injuries (FLTs), racking, manual handling, slip-trip. See warehouse accident claims.
Construction
Leicester's Waterside regeneration, Pioneer Park, De Montfort Square, Church Gate. See construction site accident claims.
Medical negligence in Leicester
Leicester's principal NHS trust is University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL), which runs Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General and Glenfield Hospital. UHL provides adult and paediatric emergency care, the regional cardiac centre at Glenfield, and specialist services across oncology, renal, women's and children's. We handle clinical negligence across specialties - see medical negligence. UHL maternity services have been the subject of repeated public scrutiny and a series of CQC reviews; families concerned about obstetric care should see birth injury claims.
Public liability across Leicester
Slips at Highcross Leicester, Fosse Park, Haymarket Centre; pavement trips against Leicester City / Leicestershire County / Hinckley and Bosworth / Charnwood / Blaby / Oadby and Wigston councils; hotel chain claims; venue injuries at the King Power Stadium, Leicester Tigers, Welford Road, Leicester Arena. See slips, trips and falls, pavement accident claims.
Industrial disease - textile, hosiery and engineering
Leicester's hosiery, boot and shoe and engineering heritage continues to produce NIHL (industrial deafness), occupational dermatitis from textile dye and solvent exposure, and HAVS claims. Asbestos exposure from building trades and historic factory fabric remains live. See industrial deafness, dermatitis and asbestos claims.
Where your claim could end up - local courts
- Leicester County Court and Family Court (90 Wellington Street).
East Midlands trauma network - LRI as a Trauma Unit
This matters and competitor pages often get it wrong. Leicester Royal Infirmary is a Trauma Unit within the East Midlands Major Trauma Network - not a Major Trauma Centre. Severely injured Leicestershire patients are typically stabilised at LRI and, where the case requires MTC-level care, transferred to the East Midlands Major Trauma Centre at QMC Nottingham. LRI does, however, provide full emergency-department care, the Leicester Children's Hospital, and a regional burns and plastic surgery service. Glenfield Hospital is the regional cardiac / aeronautical-surgery centre. Air transfers within the network come via The Air Ambulance Service (Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland); road transfers via East Midlands Ambulance Service.
Funding - no win, no fee
Every Casibus case runs on a Conditional Fee Agreement. No upfront fees. Success fee capped at 25% of general damages and past losses. If the claim fails, you pay nothing (subject to CFA and ATE terms). See no win no fee explained.
